Seed of Hope.

The expression has really taken up permanent residence in my mind and heart. In fact, it almost stalks me day and night.Snapshot-Entrega-07-11-09j

And I like it!

Seed of Hope is Gospel for Brazil’s sponsorship program for children living in extreme poverty in the northeastern part of Brazil. This region is ranked in the top five poorest places on the face of the earth and has been called the 10/40 window of the southern hemisphere. Darkness, both physical and spiritual, is a common way of life there. What rips your heart out are the children.

Seed of Hope seeks to address both parts of the problem.

And its working!

Here are some photos of our food distribution for sponsored children for the month of July that took place this past weekend:

We love seeing how God is moving and working in this area. What a privilege to be a part of it.

Joe, we’re so excited that you are coming down to share GFB and Seed of Hope with us after the trip. Todd, our pastor, seemed really excited. We’re already praying that God will open hearts and convict people to sponsor, and to join our mission for Brazil. Hopefully, 50 new sponsors will have proved to be too small a goal.

We’ll just extend our Brazilian experience and bring it on down to Savannah. Give The Sanctuary a taste of the Brazilian passion for life.
