Burnt

Went to a concert Saturday night called “Burn.”

The thing that impressed me most was the potential. It was everywhere. Young folks, older folks, folks who didn’t have a clue. What could be accomplished by what God has created in these folks is mind boggling. What would it take to get their attention so that they could actually see the same thing that I saw?

A spot of the Word that has profoundly affected me over the last three weeks is found in the Gentile apostle’s writing:

…this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan…

Was a match lit at Burn? Will the church become?

  1. Been praying about this since Saturday night. Also been praying about what happened in my own heart (and stomach) that evening. Once again, my prayers are not saying, “I believe God can,” but rather “I believe God wants to and will.”

  2. There have been some amazing stories to come from Burn. I know a fuse was lit. We’ll see where all of the c4 is hidden, but a major explosion is in the works. Go God! Keep praying. . .
