Sunday Ruminations

  • Quite a weekend!
  • 225 folks getting over 1000 gallons of gas on Saturday morning was the way Lifepoint celebrated its move to Ashley High School — quite a traffic jam!
  • Ashley is quite a step up! “Big” is a word that applies; “long” is another — I must have walked 15 miles in those corridors between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
  • Russell the janitor must have wondered what hit the school! This wasn’t your typical church experience that took place there today. When was the last time you talked about sex in church?
  • My crew, though gray and grizzled, put a mean hurtin’ on those corridors during setup. “Ingenuity” was the key word. Way to go gang!
  • I’m pooped
  • Pumpkin spice frappucino isn’t a good drink.
  • Tiffany is the kids’ ministry queen!
  • I was humiliated by a giraffe and a monkey this morning. Older adults shouldn’t have to disassemble complicated toys.
  • I told a little kid who wanted to see the monkey again that I locked him in a box. He seemed concerned.
  • I missed my sausage and egg biscuit. The so-called “steak biscuit” didn’t cut it.
  • I’m considering going on strike if we don’t get coffee made earlier.
  • Did I mention I’m pooped?

  1. You’re awesome Joe! You know how to put down a mean pattern of mats, and handle a monkey and giraffe like no one else. Thanks for all that you do!
