It has been impossible to post these last 2 days and it hasn’t been because there is no internet connection.
We’ve been running literally from before daybreak til the wee morning hours. Last night I went to bed at 3:00 a.m. and was back up at 5:00! Definitely not conducive to making blog posts on a timely basis!
Two new words or phrases for our GFB vocabulaty: Aratuan and The Moses Project. I’ll be posting quite a bit about these over the next week after arriving back home. Right now suffice it to say it ripped my heart out. I think it would be fair to say that it did that to everyone on the trip. They both involve children and we CAN make an enormous difference for almost nothing.
Speaking of children, the kids in Ubaúna are knocking it out of the park! No one who has seen the kids previously can believe the transformation that has taken place. These guys and gals are hard core! pastor Daryl and pastor John both said they would hire the “worship leader” at the drop of a hat and he isn’t even 14 years old. These kids pray more fervently than most of the adults who’ve been Christians for decades… and they fully expect to be heard by God.
We finished up our last “Vacation Bible School” session this morning and will be heading to Paxolas this afternoon. I’ve got a bucket load of stories to share with you about the VBS experience.
We head out very early tomorrow for Fortaleza.
