Left my behind…

I hate tagging this one under Christianity because of the “this makes the whole kit-n-kaboodle look bad” effect. Why do these folks insist on acting so stupidly?

Do you lay awake at nights worrying about what happens to your loved ones and friends who aren’t Christians when the rupture rapture takes place? Are you concerned that they won’t know what happened to you? Are you afraid somebody you don’t know will get all your stuff that you will leave behind when you disappear like water on a hot griddle?

Well, fear no more!

You’ve Been Left Behind has come to the rescue!

For a mere $40 per year (subsequent years may be less, if subscribers increase and the “big event” doesn’t happen), the fail-safe system will send out messages you’ve written to 62 recipients.

I’d hate to be number 63 on your list…

LOL. I checked out the site for fun (yes, Christians can be whacky and misguided) and the system is “triggered” when 3 of the 5 team members fail to log in. Uhhhh, they’re not so confident about the 5 out of 5 thingy. So it’s a site run by Christians that seem to hope, think or wish they were followers and MAY be left behind. I bet God gets really mad at this crap.

  5. I’ve been hearing about this website on the radio. In addition to being able to leave people a “Hey nanabooboo, didn’t I tell you” email, you can also leave an encrypted email with attached files that contain all of your financial information–bank accounts, investment accounts, passwords, etc. plus a valid power of attorney to whomever you designate. The thinking is that if you’re raptured out of here it will take a long time for your estate to be settled and given the fact that the tribulation has started (for those of us who believe in a pre-trib rapture) your estate may never be settled in which case all your assets would escheat to the government–a government which will then be controlled and run by the antichrist. The creators of the website evidently consider this to be a way of not funding the antichrist’s government.

Wouldn’t it be better to use your wealth to fund evangelical efforts to reach people so they won’t have to go through the tribulation anyway?

    Come, Lord Jesus, Come.

  6. I would just hate to be one of the 3! How do they decide who the 5 people are? really quite strange…

  7. I heard about this on KLOVE the other day. I thought it was kinda wierd, but what got me was the response of the woman that called in to respond to this idea on air. She said all she could think of to email to her loves ones was “I told you so.”

I assume the team members are employees of the company.
