Two weeks from today I’ll be heading to Raleigh with a group of folks to begin our trek south to the little village of Ubaúna.

This is probably the best point in the antecipation of such a trip. The closer you get the more harried things become. All the details, all that still needs to be done, can drive you crazy. You get to the actual day and you leave the house trying to remember what you didn’t do.

But today you can bask in the “what will happen.” You’ve not become crazy with the preparation, the packing of bags, the checking materials, the itinerary, the funds, the transportation, and so on. You get to be… excited.

And, I am!
